Rogan : Conversation as an art

I  love Joe Rogan Experience Podcast's. There like a small brain pill which opens up your mind to a fascinating conversational world. The art of conversation escapes me. The ability for two people to sit down and be comfortable to bounce ideas of each other is fascinating. When listening to a Rogan podcast or a Howard Stern clip conversation as an art is never more apparent. Every one talks some people more ALOT more than others but very few can talk and make it interesting to the massesRogan, Stern, Zemarnic are ones who can and did it amazingly.
Here's just an example of one of Joe Rogan's great rants about the American War Machine (Explicit language)

Someone told me the best way to make conversation is the toes first approach. It seems odd to me. The voices in my head detract from reality and by the time I am ready to say something the moment is gone. I've seen the complete opposite the person with no filter, who wants to be the center of attention no matter what. The fact of the matter is conversation is an art. Rogan's podcast had opened me up to many funny great conversationalists from Ari Shaffir, Brian Redban's Death Squad and Joey Diaz.
I'd love to be able to open up and talk like these people.
Do you know of any great conversationalist or entertaining talkers ? Don't Keep them to yourself share them.

Audience

Audience

Audience: Passive or Participant.

It has often amazed me how TV stations worth billions of dollars rely on such a small sampling of viewers to estimate who and how many people are watching their programs.
OZ tam which is the service used in Australia to determined ratings figures, receives data from Nielson TAM. Which uses 3,035 ‘panel homes in all capital cities and 1,395 homes nationally for subscription television (oztam.com.au).
While I’m sure the science is correct in establishing that these small audience numbers can be translated into the viewing figures of the overall population. It does make you feel somewhat insignificant as an individual viewer. As your presence and how you react to the content is really just estimated.
Kind of makes you feel like a robot right?

Sue Turnbull (2010) points out that most media audiences don’t exist. They are not visible and don’t provide feedback in the way you can view at comedy performances or football matches.
However, while television stations and programs rely on viewership to stay alive. Their interactions with their audiences are changing with the development of new technologies. These technologies are allowing the viewer to choose when and where to watch a program, how they want to watch it, with whom they watch it and the ways in which they can respond to certain media (Turnbull, 2010).
Social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube allow and encourage feedback. Twitter for instance has been used by a wide range of people from Ashton Kutcher to the Libyan rebels spreading evidence of atrocities in their homeland. While again there is a challenge of actually knowing who the audience of a Twitter account is. It can provide feedback, create discussion and facilitate the flow of ideas much better than simply estimating an audience (Marwick, A & Boyd, D., 2010).
Audience however are necessary when networks come to deciding the funding for a program. If they can’t sell advertising they can’t justify the product.
Developing a deeper understanding of audiences and studying them will allow a greater understanding of what media is successful and why.

Do you think a television program should operate and change things based on audience feedback?
How powerful do you think a Television Audience is?
How do you think television ratings should be collected ?

Truly a men's gallery

Walking into a strip club for the umpteenth is a journey deep into the heart of the male subconscious. A world where women literally throw themselves at the opposite sex. Lifting their tops to expose there breasts is something everyone is anticipating. Their athleticism is somewhat disregarded for their looks, but never the less is appreciate. Their toned bodies and constant smiles may hide the emotional scars of the past but it doesn't matter to the men who sit stage side  'stripper money' in hand ready to reward the girls for their work.
This money gets anything attitude is contradicted outside the clubs were the girls are wearing as little clothing as many on the poles. But once outside you realize you have left the male reality and stepped into a combined reality where the sexual urges of men are balanced with the complex structures of our evolutionary reality.
However no matter the progress, no matter the time period. The strip club will remain at the core of the male subconscious.

Societies Double standards

It seems to be an uncomfortable situation men and women find themselves in. Like two polar opposites who are attracted not by choice but necessity. A chemical need to reproduce. Lets get one thing straight Men think about Sex, Sex and more Sex and they want, Sex, Sex and more Sex. Societies double standards, however has stipulated that women have to resist this urge and look for a partner in life, or risk being called the dreaded 'Slut' word.
Germane Greer said women sought liberation but settled for equality. This is not the case and never will be the case unless there is sexual equality were women view Sex and Sexual acts the same way as men and are not inhibited by societies double standards.

Maybe it is to stroke my intellectual ego that has been bashed around by university machine that i currently find my self apart of or just to see if i can capture the interest of those out there who are interested in the same fucked up reality as me.
So enjoy motherfucker
